Who we are
TuneCompass is a CrafTek experience, operated from Bucharest, Romania. You can reach us any time at hello@tunecompass.com.
The short version
- We keep only your email (if you choose to give it) and your music signals — what you generate, play, skip, and save.
- Your saved mixes, compass theme, and access code stay on your device; they are never sent to us.
- No ads. No tracking across the web. No selling or renting data — ever.
- Everything we hold about you can be exported or erased in the app, in two taps.
When you join the waitlist or request access
We store the email address you give us (plus your language and where the request came from) — only to send your invitation and the occasional note about TuneCompass. Emails are delivered through Resend, our email provider. Every email tells you how to opt out, and one message to us deletes the address entirely.
Your account
TuneCompass starts anonymous: a random identifier, no name, no profile. If you choose to save your place, we link that identifier to your email through a one-time code — we never store passwords. That's the whole account.
What we learn from your listening
The heart of the experience, and of this policy: to tune the compass, we record music signals — the moods you blend, the tracks you generate, play, skip, and save. These are tied to your account so your aim gets truer over time, and used in aggregate (never as your individual history) to improve suggestions for everyone.
We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, your browsing outside TuneCompass, or device fingerprints.
On your device only
Saved mixes, your compass theme, and your access code live in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device; clearing your browser data clears them.
Where your data lives
Our database runs on Supabase in the European Union (Paris), and the site is served from an EU server. Your data stays under GDPR protection.
Cookies
No tracking cookies, no third-party analytics scripts. We use only functional local storage that makes the app work.
Artwork and playback
Cover art and track metadata come from public music catalogues (for example Deezer's image servers). When you choose to play music through a service like YouTube, Apple Music, or Audius, that playback happens under their terms and privacy policies while you use it — we don't gain access to your accounts there.
Your rights
From the account menu you can see a summary of what we hold, export it as JSON, or delete everything (irreversibly) — no email required, no questions asked. Under GDPR you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority (ANSPDCP). For anything at all: hello@tunecompass.com.
Changes
As TuneCompass grows this page will be updated, with the date below. If a change is significant, we'll say so clearly.
